Okay so we’re watching Young Justice and I’m liking it quite a lot. Everything I know about DC comes from Smallville, I’m not making this up, am I? Superboy is the son of Lex Luthor and Superman?

Maybe because there wasn’t anybody pretty that’s played Lex? Or Superman is seen as boring?
Man, I don’t even know. It would take some skill but it would be the best thing ever and I’m sorry Young Justice never got to explore that.

lol did they even look for fic? I didn’t start reading DC fic till about 2008 but there was fic around then. And yeah, A03 makes things a lot easier.

An assignment for Advanced Digital! We were supposed to make a gif portrait of a historical figure. I chose Julie d’Aubigny, 17th century swordsmaster and opera singer, responsible for the deaths of at least ten men in duels, and openly bisexual. After her lover was placed into a convent by the girl’s parents, d’Aubigny took the vows to enter the convent as a novice, then rescued her lover and set the convent on fire to cover their escape. Dang.

Oh HELL to the no. Way to whitewash an amazingly diverse book. Shadow is biracial. His mother is black. She dies from sickle cell anemia-related health complications. Shadow isn’t an olive skinned white guy. He is the child of a black mother and a Scandinavian appearing father (who by the way makes a POINT of talking about how Shadows mother was the opposite in appearance of the pale, blonde women he usually favored).
